Process of Enameled
Ceramics Production
-
Grinding: with
humidity, in ball windmills. Grinding of clays with water to
get a perfect mixture.
-
Spray -
drying:
Drying of the barbotine in atomizer with pulverizing against
hot air current to reach a certain homogeneous humidity (5
to 6%), with granules in the shape of spheres that allow a
better compression in the presses.
-
Pressing: The
atomized powder is pressed in a high-pressure press (1000
tons) to compress the material and shape it into the floor
tile.
-
Drying: in a
vertical dryer of fast cycle to eliminate residual moisture
in the press pieces.
-
Enameled: in an
enameling line where the enamels and serigraphic inks are
applied with exclusive designs developed in Italy and Spain.
The enamels are applied with different equipment such as
discs, bells, aerographs and the designs with serigraphic
automatic machines.
-
Storage: The
enameled pieces are stored in automatic cars for their
subsequent entry in the oven and to achieve a permanent
feeding.
-
Cooking: In a
Monostrato roller
kiln at a temperature of approximately
1150°C, where the sintering of the clay mixture and the
enamels fusion occurs until it reaches the desired finish in
resistance and size.
-
Classification:
Where the pieces are boxed according to their size and
achieved quality.
-
Quality
Control: Through the complete process, a continuous control
of the parameters set by the laboratory is carried out, to
get a final product that complies with International
Techniques and Norms (ISO-10.545, and UNE Norms).

We use clays free of organic materials, which are ground dry and
then pressed, dried and cooked in a tunnel
kiln at an approximate
temperature of 1100°, with a slow 40-hour cycle. This is one of the
elements that produces the characteristic color of our 15 x 15 cm.
Our selection of finalized products is strict because it is done
through classification of: size, tone and quality.
